As Director of Social Services, James’ goal is to get to know both residents and their families on a personal level. He provides ongoing support to residents and their families by addressing their psychosocial needs through various assessments, family meetings and frequent resident interactions.
James has over 30 years of social service experience. He received his bachelor’s degree in social work from Arizona State University and his master’s in professional counseling from Webster University. He has extensive experience in a variety of social settings including child welfare, community-based social work, mental health, substance use disorders and residential services. James was most recently Director of Social Services for a large assisted living community in the St. Louis area.
In his free time, he enjoys riding his Harley Davidson to new weekend destinations, working with his German Shepherd, Vidar, and spending time with his family relaxing on his patio overlooking the Mississippi River.
