“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
–William Arthur Ward
This Thanksgiving, we are ever so grateful to the families who have entrusted us with the care and well-being of their loved ones at McKnight Place. Our community is honored to be a part of this extended family of residents and their loved ones. Thank you for sharing your lives and your stories with us. Our community is enriched by your presence.
Practicing thankfulness spreads joy to others this season and any time of year. Saying thanks can be as easy as offering a hug or as heartfelt as describing the ways your life has been enriched by your loved one’s influence. Share your love in the form of a handwritten letter or homemade card. Create a list of the things a loved one has done for you and discuss it with him or her; the list can be a meaningful trip down memory lane and wonderful conversation starter. A child’s framed art piece is always appreciated. Gifts and gestures need not cost much to be treasured by the recipient.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at McKnight Place.
